6 Years in Newgrounds...

Mace's dark past...

When I was in middle school, the school gave us a toshiba laptop for school reasons. Even though it's NOT ours to keep, but use it for the entire school year. I discovered a LOT of things on the interwebz like YouTube alternatives (because the school's internet is highly restrictive & BLOCKED YouTube, Facebook, and others), some fucked up shit, and this website when at the time, Larry: The Little Freakin' Knight was around. So I decided to make this account based off my XBox name, and do stuff at the age of 12. Oh, and I don't have internet at home until a few years later.

Sooner or later, I made some kart designs for a thing I did for fun called: Road Rage. These are actually done using MS Paint (along with many others), and I was actually proud at the time and thought this will be an actual thing. But this is where I realized that it's going to be difficult as fuck, and requiring software that I can't afford at the time.

My first Art piece, The Xeno Blast 900: Nismo edition.

The second piece: Chance 01 Bikes: Aero Deathwish

In June, I was making a little sprite sheet based off River City Ransom, but shittier. Even though the piece is forever lost, it became a seed of two things: "Chance 01," and The Grand Arsenal. The sprite sheet only consists one background which is at night & in front of the cemetery with a tombstone of "Frank" on it, 2 characters with punching, kicking, and fall down sprites, health bars, and a small set of weapons like an ax, molotov cocktail, grenade, pistol, machine pistol, SMG, shotgun, bazooka, and a revolver. It looks rubbish, but at the time, I think I could go beyond that, so I added some ray guns, assault rifles, sniper rifles, railguns, etc. and then it became "My Little Armory."

Behold. The earliest incarnation of The Arsenal. Complete with engrish.

When Newgrounds released their new game-making software called "The Games Factory 2: NG Edition," that's the time I started making a simple little demo, Chance 01. It was highly criticized due to the poor controls like pressing SHIFT to jump, and gameplay which consists no enemies except the pits, and everything in between. I've released 2 versions of the demo, one with no sound & the other WITH sound. The one with sound is extremely loud, btw.

I also made a movie dubbed as "1 Man Rising," and even though it's not completely finished (it's only has 1 1/2), it's made by the same engine used in Chance 01. That one's also criticized, too due to the plot being... PBBBLLTT. I agree, it's pretty stupid. I remembered that I made a trailer for this series, and it shows the protagonist picking up a railgun, while the arms stretched and retract when collecting it (similar to the pistol from the actual series).

I also made the Guntry (another early name for The Arsenal) which is sadly, the best game in my page. It's basically an armory that shows out the weapons, stats, and animations. That one is also incomplete, due to TGF2 NG getting expired. Another thing to note that there's a few "friends" that got involved with this shit. Yeah, those are RP accounts I've made, but never used them (except my first RP account). They are: NoobSlayer10, IKN, and XMOD12. Their only purpose is just added for collaboration & that's pretty much it.

In the first 3 years on this account, I was a complete dick at the time. Now, I'm just your average forum-posting normie, but I've disappointed so many people at the time. So dickish, I got suspended a few times, like I made a forum post, "I farted," spam the forum based off The Arsenal (remember THAT, Turkey?), and some tomfoolery. So I abandoned my account, and venture off to YouTube.

In 2015, I've fully returned. I revived my Arsenal from DeviantArt, posted an original song which sounds like japanese instruments, and made a time-lapse video where I drew my god-forsaken rabbit (who's been creepin' up on my work). And suddenly, no one gave a shit. I bet that's for the best.
